About Lana


Lana Furniture is owned and operated by Lana herself, a tireless business woman who has an eye for furniture along with endless drive and optimism for her company. Lana has an extensive retail and management background that drives her devotion for her customers. During her younger years working for Neiman Marcus, she was chosen along with 49 others for an intensive executive training program that gets over 5,000 applicants every year. This opportunity opened many doors for her, eventually leading her to join Bloomingdales as a Department Manager in the High Fashion Women's Department, taking the department from the 10th position within the company to #1 in only 6 months - an amazing feat. She later went on to become a sportwears buyer for all 12 Garfinckels stores in the DC area. 

Lana has always loved furniture, but it wasn't until she found herself frustrated with her local options after 2 years of trying in vain to furnish her house that she decided to start her own business selling furniture. The prices weren't right, and the wait was far too long. So, she opened up her first furniture store in Woodbridge, VA, delivering in-store furniture to local customers within a week's time. She was immensely successful and expanded twice after that, moving to a larger location in Sterling, VA for 5 years and then eventually moved to Chantilly, VA. She still talks about how much she loved her store and her customers - unfortunately, after 12 successful years with her brick and mortar stores, the housing market crash caused her to close up shop and move online. In her words, it was only a matter of time - the online market was steadily growing, and most customers wanted the convienence of an online buying experience.
